In the fall of 2021, Paul moved to Lynchburg, VA to live with friends who eventually introduced him to Kaitlyn. They built a great friendship, hanging out with their friends over dinners and brunch after church, movie nights and road trips.

Paul, who can remember exactly what Kaitlyn wore the first time they met, had always been interested in Kaitlyn, but didn’t start to have feelings for her until March 2022 when they went on a spring break trip to Jacksonville, FL & she went off on the beach courts and drank a beer with the guys at dinner. But he never told her he liked her…

Paul's patience paid off. Two months later, Kaitlyn finally started to feel the same way about him. So she FaceTimed him and told him immediately. She told him to do whatever he wanted to with that information and then hung up. He called back and asked her out.

Their first date was hitting golf balls at the range and then burgers on the stove at his place. They’re big movie people, so there must’ve been something on the TV too.

They didn't get much time together because Kaitlyn moved to Dallas, Paul moved back to Chicago, and as their relationship started, so did long distance. But...

On August 1, 2022, Paul asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend… she said yes. On May 25, 2023, he asked her to be his wife… she said yes. And the days between were filled with many coffee dates, FaceTime calls, Sequence games, tight hugs, plane tickets, movies watched, and big smiles.

On January 20, 2024, Paul & Kaitlyn will say “I do” and start their lives together. And they wouldn't be here without their Lord Jesus Christ. He led their steps and was in it all. His grace saved them and His goodness is all over their lives. Praise God for all He has done in them and for them!
